Philadelphia’s Historic Neighborhood Consortium (PHNC) has, historically, used the phrase “Beyond the Bell” to express the idea that Philadelphia’s Historic District has far more to do and see, not instead of, but in addition to Independence Hall and, of course, the Liberty Bell.
